the Outlaw defends the sport of MMA

An article in the UK’s Independent newspaper, orginally about wives and girlfriends of fighters, has spawned a heated debate between readers and fighters. One reader commented on the story, calling MMA “uncivilized” and its fighters “uneducated.” Dan has responded with quite the explanation for the sport, citing its ancient foundations and historical importance, and illustrating its sanctioned and organized state.

The article and its reader comments have appeared on all the big MMA forums:

New Management

Due to professional differences, Dan Hardy and Warrior Promotions have decided to part company. Warrior Promotions will continue to support its stable of fighters, whilst Dan will now be under Outlaw Sports Management. The separation was amicable, and both parties wish each other well in future exploits.

When asked about the change in direction, Hardy replied “I appreciate everything that Warrior Promotions have done for me, up to this stage in my career. I just felt that we were heading in different directions and it was time to explore other opportunities. Warrior Promotions is a well established company with a strong group of fighters under its management. I am confident they will continue to have success supporting fighters, from low level shows, right through to the major promotions.”

I have been working on a ’71 Chevy Nova, named “Daphne.” I wish I could take her with me to training back, but sadly, she’s back in the US being worked on by the guys over at Integrated Performance. It’s a great car, but like any classic car, there is restoration work to be done. I will update you more with videos and pictures of my progress.
