Grant Brothers MMA & Boxing Gym Celebrates One Year Anniversary with Star-Studded Bash November 21st

On Sunday, November 21, Grant Brothers MMA will host its first birthday celebration. The event takes place at the Grant Brothers MMA & Boxing Gym and will showcase some of the greatest superstars in MMA.
In a whirlwind first year, Grant Brothers MMA has become a renowned gym frequented by the world’s top fighters. Among its trainers: WEC bantamweight star Wagnney Fabiano and UFC newcomer Sean Pierson. Grant Brothers MMA & Boxing Gym has also housed famous students such as Gray Maynard and Mark Bocek.

From 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Grant Brothers MMA invites fight fans and future champions of all ages, shapes and size to join the first anniversary celebration. The event features two special guests: UFC heavyweight contender Roy “Big Country Nelson” and UFC welterweight contender Dan “The Outlaw” Hardy. They will pose for pictures and sign autographs for both Grant Brothers MMA students and fans.

There will be much more to enjoy at the first anniversary event. Virgin Gaming will be on site to demo its new video game, EA Sports MMA. Guests can compete with others to win cash and prizes courtesy of Virgin Gaming.

Inside Fitness magazine will also be on site, handing out free magazines while also photographing and covering the event.

Tapout Clothing, a staple of MMA apparel, will appear at the Grant Brothers gala as well, handing out lots of free prizes and merchandise.

Guests looking for a boost can enjoy free energy drinks courtesy of Rockstar Energy Drink. Free food will be available as well.

For fans and fighters looking to learn the ropes or hone their MMA skills, there will be multiple demonstrations on hand, covering disciplines like Judo, Sambo, Boxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and wrestling throughout the day. Kids can enjoy judo demonstrations just for them and fans can watch exhibition matches.

New Evile “Infected Nations” reissue from my friends at Earache Records. I recently had the pleasure of doing Amoeba Music’s “What’s In My Bag.” For those of you that don’t know Amoeba, it’s one of the best record stores in the country. Two floors, wall to wall with everything you could ever want. They let me wander the shop for hours, picking out some of my favorite CDs and some new ones, and then they interviewed me about my selections. It was good fun, and god knows I love record shopping. Taking a quick break from UFC 120 media day in London today. For those of you that don’t know about media day for the fighters, it’s an entire day of interviews, photo shoots, and press, which always gets me even more hyped for the fight.

Picked up my sponsor car from NK Motor Group in Derby yesterday. Nice KIA Cee’d CRDi in Black. 62 mpg! and a big boot for all my training stuff! Big thanks to Sanjeev Kumar and his team over there for the local support. Don’t be surprised if you locals see me hoping around Nottingham in it.

In other news, Xyience has release a brand new signature T-Shirt designed by yours truly. I know art school would come in handy. It’s kind of my take on the recognizable Exploited T-Shirt (love that band).  For my UK friends, I know they don’t ship internationally, but we should have some available for you guys in my own web store soon. A lot of you have been writing and tweeting about my bandanas for this fight. Yes, we will have new ones! I promise. I like to do things myself, so you guys know they are coming from me, and you can imagine, things get kinda crazy around this time. But we should have some up in the next couple weeks. Training is awesome. Ollie Richardson (Fighter Strength) and Steve have me knackered, but fit with ammunition, on a regular basis. And Team Rough House are with me every step of the way. And no, I’m no revealing my secret weapon on this one, so you guys can stop asking! That’s why it’s a secret!
